Cleanroom project success

It's been a busy start to 2021 for cleanrooms expert, Connect 2 Cleanrooms. The company reports that it has a number of large-scale projects drawing to a close and more that are just beginning.

Commissioning is being performed on a large-scale cleanroom in the North East. This cleanroom construction project is over 1085m2 and features 13 zones, including ante rooms, materials transfer areas and change rooms which give access to staff through an air shower. The facility also incorporates a viewing gallery for visitors and service corridor for maintenance. Look out for the full case study which will be appearing shortly.

Another large-scale construction project in its final qualification stage is the Cell & Gene Therapy suite the firm has been constructing in Edinburgh. With a stringent aseptic process and complex system integration, these cleanrooms have a suite of documentation to underpin each qualification stage. With medical gas systems, VHP cabinets and an EMS with integrated control, more detail will be released about this project shortly.

The company has been given the green light on two modular rooms to form tissue culture suites for a prestigious London university. These will be installed into a Grade II listed building and used for academic training.

It has also begun a softwall modular cleanroom project for a global life sciences company performing Covid-related activities and an upgrade on a modular cleanroom for an existing e-liquid client.
