The new system is designed for enhanced protein production in CHO cells, showing outstanding protein yields even at low DNA amounts.
The growing need for various recombinant antibodies and other proteins in the biotechnology and biopharma sectors requires an efficient and flexible bioproduction system. "Transient expression" is a technology commonly used for introducing nucleic acids into production cells without integrating them into the cell's genome. The method is often used in bioproduction, but it is limited due to its restricted transfection efficiency and productivity, especially when applied to CHO (Chinese Hamster Ovary) cells.

High productivity - even at small DNA amounts
The FectoCHO Expression System consists of three synergistically acting components:
(I) FectoCHO CD Expression Medium
(II) FectoPRO Transfection Reagent
(III) FectoPRO Expression Booster.
The FectoCHO CD Expression Medium is a chemically defined cell culture medium, optimized for transient gene expression. It enables fast, effortless adaptation and cultivation of various strains of CHO cells, such as CHO-K1, CHO-S and ExpiCHO-S. The FectoPRO Transfection Reagent, when combined with the expression medium, achieves amazing protein yields, also for small amounts of DNA transfected. The FectoPRO Expression Booster enhances gene expression levels and boosts protein production in various CHO cells. The yields are up to four times higher compared to some other expression systems.
FectoCHO Expression System components are manufactured and formulated using a highly controlled production process. This ensures excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility, for greater reliability and higher quality in bioproduction.
