At Meat-Up heat sealing specialist Proseal will demonstrate some of its latest technologies, including the new E-seal® and Vacuum systems, which deliver fast, cost-effective, quality sealing solutions for the meat industry.
E-seal® technology provides an energy efficient sealing system that creates a high-precision seal with an extremely strong sealing force, ensuring every seal has the tightness and reliability to meet the stringent quality requirements of the fresh food retail sector. At the same time, retaining pneumatic functions means the machine can also offer additional benefits such as date coding of pre-printed film.
The E-seal® system, which can be fitted to all Proseal GT tray sealers, delivers an increase of seal force of 260% yet only consumes 8% of the air of a machine fitted with an equivalent standard pneumatic cylinder. As well as improved seal quality and reduced energy consumption, the new system can increase machine productivity through shorter seal times, and reduce gas flush cycle times and ensure accurate gas flush positioning for enhanced MAP packing.
Proseal’s ‘V’ models offer a full vacuum system and have been specifically developed for products such as meat and poultry where residual gas levels need to be less than 1%. An electronic gas mixer integration option is also available and models can be specified for skinpack applications as well.
All Proseal models feature a rugged construction manufactured to food industry approved hygiene standards with full wash-down protection. Proseal’s pioneering advanced lightweight and high strength ‘Auto Tool’ connection system enables tool changes to be carried out in around five minutes. Downtime is also minimised by the use of quick-change conveyor belts, and an auto-lock film reel holder.
Easy set up and operation is carried out via the user-friendly menu-driven control panel, which can be remotely accessed and controlled. The screen provides detailed production data, production monitoring and full diagnostics
An intelligent film feed system ensures full control of the sealing operation for excellent seal quality, with easy film threading and dynamic control of the movement of the film throughout the film feed cycle in order to maintain constant tension and avoid film snapping. Full double-sided operation is provided by a swing arm control interface for enhanced accessibility.
The Proseal range comprises both semi-automatic and automatic in-line equipment, suitable for a wide variety of production line requirements, with sealing speeds of up to 210 packs per minute.
