Altering cellular form and function

Harvard Apparatus’ family of cell modification and re-engineering products are utilised when the introduction or withdrawal of molecules, submicroscopic particles or sub cellular structures need to pass into a single cell with high yields and high survivability.

These products are mechanical (syringe pumps down to 1.3pl/min; Harvard Apparatus Pico Plus syringe pump) and pneumatic injectors (PLI90/100 injectors) for femtamoles of materials injected.

To simultaneously transfect into many cells using electroporation or merging two cells electrofusion, Harvard Apparatus BTX group has in vivo and in vitro products for electroporation. Liposomes can also be used to bring things into cells and the Harvard Apparatus sample prep Group has liposome makers.

Harvard Apparatus has Iontophoresis units for moving molecules into tissues.

Harvard Apparatus is based Holliston, Massachusetts, USA. www.harvardapparatus.com
