Debubbler improves dispense precision technology

Idex Health & Science has launched the Systec Debubbler Series for diagnostic and life science instruments.

Dissolved gases and bubbles in system liquids cause dispense volume anomalies in many instruments, negatively affecting both dispense precision and analytical accuracy. This new component series for low pressure systems improves on passive bubble-trap technology with active bubble removal and transfer-line degassing.

Three configurations-active debubbler, degasser/debubbler, or transfer-line degasser-offer the choice of removing bubbles with or without also removing dissolved system gases. Online Vacuum Degassing offers operating convenience, high efficiency and low operating costs compared to other common degassing technologies.

Highly efficient Online Active Debubbling helps equipment manufacturers improve dispense precision, reduce sample loss and reagent usage, and improve analytical accuracy in high-throughput diagnostic applications. In addition, Online Active Debubbling costs less to operate than other common degassing technologies.

The new Debubbler Series features a proprietary, semi-permeable debubbling/degassing membrane to remove gases from dispense liquids. The chemical resistance of the degassing/debubbling membrane is similar to PTFE.
