High performance bespoke & off-the-shelf lenses

Resolve Optics has announced that its stand at the forthcoming PHOTONEX exhibiton (16-17th October 2013) will feature the company’s renowned OEM specialist lens design service as well as a growing range of off-the-shelf lenses.

Mark Pontin, Managing Director of Resolve Optics commented “In todays competitive global arena – market-leading cameras, sensors and instruments often rely heavily on outstanding optical performance. We have built our reputation for the development and supply of small to large batches of  specialist lens and optical systems that enable products to achieve their full performance potential thereby enabling our customers to  gain that all important competitive advantage”. He added “Drawing on our team of experienced optical designers and engineers – we have proven expertise in creating specialist lenses that offer greater resolution, large apertures to ensure the maximum use of the light available, wide fields of view with little or no distortion, optical designs and coatings that are balanced to give best performance at a desired wavelength or waveband, robust designs that cope with hostile environments and compactness as space is often at a premium”.

In addition – visitors to Photonex stand C02 will be able to see and discuss Resolve Optics growing range of high performance off-the-shelf lenses for nuclear, forensic and vision applications.

Manufactured to the highest quality standards from cerium doped glass or synthetic silica the Resolve Optics fixed focus and zoom radiation tolerant (non browning) lens ranges are able to withstand radiation exposure of up to 53 kGy (53,000,000 rads) and temperatures up to 55 degrees centigrade without discoloration.

Resolve Optics Model 228 lens provides high performance in both the UV and visible wavebands, enabling forensic scientists and crime scene investigators to identify and focus on a target in the visible and then quickly slide the UV filter across to take images in the UV without having to refocus. The interaction between materials and UV light makes reflected-UV very useful for a number of applications in forensic investigation including imaging of latent fingerprints, imaging of bite marks and other pattern injuries on skin and imaging of shoeprints on surfaces where visible-light contrast is low.

Now available in 2/3-inch, 1/2-inch and 1/3-inch CCD formats – Resolve Optics Z10-HD lenses provide users with HD resolution throughout their range of operation. Each motorised 10x HD zoom lens is typically half the size and much lighter (< 500g) than any other comparible zoom lenses. The high performance f/1.8, 10x tracking zoom on the Z10-HD ensures the image stays in focus throughout the zoom travel by utilising floating cell technology.  The Z10-HD is also able to focus upon objects as close as 450mm from the lens. A novel design camera mount cleverly incorporates topside and back focus adjustment so that the lens can quickly and easily be set-up on any camera.
