The initiative aims to reduce emissions, with every chromatography column and stainless purification skid being delivered as carbon neutral
Purification technology designer and manufacturer Verdot is set to begin its Carbon Compensation Initiative in 2025.
“We aim to lead by example and contribute to the industry's global effort to combat climate change," said Verdot CEO Charles Ruban.
The initiative aims to reduce the French company’s carbon emissions by ensuring that every chromatography column and stainless purification skid is delivered as carbon neutral.
Residual carbon footprint of these products will be calculated and offset through a partnership with a carbon credit provider.
Verdot will partner with carbon offsetting company Stock CO2, which specialises in the development of carbon offsetting projects certified under the Bas-Carbone Label by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition.
Verdot has conducted carbon footprint analyses since 2013, measuring direct on-site emissions such as manufacturing, indirect emissions and indirect value chain emissions, including supply chain and transportation.
