Kindeva opens new UK headquarters

The facility will develop and test next-generation propellants

CDMO and drug delivery specialist Kindeva has opened new UK headquarters at Charnwood Campus Science Innovation and Technology Park in Loughborough.

“The opening of our Loughborough headquarters marks a significant milestone in Kindeva’s growth strategy as we continue to innovate, scale, and expand our global footprint,” said Kindeva CEO Milton Boyer.

The opening of the 150,000sq ft facility expands the company’s MDI services and will develop and test next-generation propellants (NGP) to prepare for legislation aiming to reduce the environmental impact of propellants currently used in pressurised metered-dose inhalers (pMDIs).

“Research estimates that inhalers contribute to 0.03% of total global greenhouse gas emissions, and represent 3% of the U.K. National Health Service (NHS) carbon footprint,” said Boyer. “Investment in our Loughborough site, new technologies and people, will allow Kindeva to become the leading force in the industry for sustainability and assuring supply continuity as the industry transitions to low Global Warming Potential (GWP) propellants.”

A variety of services will be offered at the facility across the drug development process, including early-stage viability, analytical method development and commercial analysis.
