The facility aims to support UK science and research by bringing researchers together
Horiba, an analytical and measurement technology company, has recently opened a technical innovation facility (analytical solution plaza) in the UK to support UK science and research.
“Our new UK-based Plaza aims to enable our customers to really ‘see inside’ Horiba,” said Horiba UK head of science and technology and director of the new plaza Dr Simon FitzGerald FRSC.
“It will demonstrate our full breadth of technological capabilities and expertise across all of our fields of business.”
The 290m2 analytical solution plaza will house a range of Horiba’s technologies designed for biopharmaceuticals, cell and gene therapy and clinical diagnostics. The plaza will act as a resource, providing a space for scientists to collaborate on demonstrations, studies and seminars.
Analytical testing services will be offered at the facility, with quality data available on a contract analysis basis.
Students can visit the space to participate in on-site STEM outreach programmes, further encouraging training.
We aim to build trusted partnerships, exploring how the wealth of Horiba’s technology can deliver incredible science,” added FitzGerald.
“Being part of a worldwide network of Plazas that talk and work together means that our UK customers can readily see and access all of Horiba’s technologies and expertise both locally and, via remote link up, globally.”
