Suzhou Ribo Life Science and Ribocure Pharmaceuticals have achieved their third milestone in the research collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim to discover novel therapies for liver disease, including metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH).
MASH is a progressive form of fatty liver disease that can lead to fibrosis, cirrhosis, and liver cancer, affecting more than 200 million people around the world. Through the collaboration, Ribo and Boehringer Ingelheim aim to expand the pipeline of potential treatments for patients with MASH.

siRNA therapeutics silence disease-causing genes by targeting their messenger RNAs. Ribo’s liver-targeting delivery technology has been designed to facilitate selective uptake by hepatocytes, enabling targeting of difficult-to-reach targets that may be challenging with traditional small molecules or antibodies.
This milestone reflects the collaboration’s productivity and the shared ambition to pursue solutions that address unmet needs in liver and cardiometabolic disease.
