The spectrometer with Ethernet offers increased sensitivity and high spectral resolution
Hamamatsu Photonics, provider of photonics technology and products, has launched the Fourier Transform – Near Infrared (FT-NIR) spectrometer engine.
The FT-NIR C16511-01 can be used in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, food, agriculture and chemicals for quality control, process monitoring, inspection and sorting.
The compact spectrometer measures just 68mm × 124mm × 66mm for easy incorporation into existing monitoring and analytical equipment.
Featuring a built-in semiconductor laser, the spectrometer enables spectrum measurement with high wavelength accuracy.
With a spectrum response ranging from 1100nm to 2500nm, the spectrometer can generate up to 275 spectra per second with a high S/N ratio. This makes it suitable for both analytical testing and industrial applications, where high speed is required.
The C16511-01 can use diffusion reflection or transmittance measurement to analyse samples in liquid, solid or powder form.
Integrated evaluation software includes functions for setting measurement conditions, data acquisition and visualisation. Because the dynamic library link (DLL) function specifications are disclosed, users can create their own original measurement software programmes.
The spectrometer is equipped with an Ethernet interface and is fully compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems for easy integration into OEM equipment.
FT-NIR spectroscopy is used across industries to analyse samples using near-infrared light to measure absorption, reflection and transmission. This allows for non-destructive analysis and identification of materials for quality control and process monitoring.
Earlier this year, Hamamatsu launched its InGaAs PD, near-infrared sensors designed for longer wavelengths.
