The new storage systems have been designed with input from hospitals, biobanks, and research institutes
Haier Biomedical has launched its next-generation CryoBio LN2 storage systems, developed with input from biobanks, research institutes, and hospitals that handle large-scale sample collections across the UK.
The new range has been designed to address common challenges around digital traceability and the need for greater oversight of stored materials. The new CryoBio range features an enclosed design with intelligent control, advanced monitoring, and reliable sample security to help labs meet the rising demands for audit readiness and data integrity.
CryoBio has been designed to accommodate the highly valuable, irreplaceable samples stored in cryogenic vessels, enabling users to have confidence in the storage system’s stability due to its enhanced functionality, safety, and convenience.
CryoBio has low evaporation rates, operates in either a liquid or a gas phase, and, at the top of the storage rack, can maintain temperatures as low as -190 °C. It has also been developed to make day-to-day handling safer and more comfortable by including a split-step ladder and a new drainage and exhaust system to prevent frost build-up, reducing strain and contact with cold surfaces while maintaining efficient sample management.
CryoBio also features smart controls to help make the management of extensive biobank collections more straightforward and reliable for teams working under strict regulatory oversight. It includes a 10-inch touchscreen that provides users with a real-time overview of temperature, fill levels, and system status, while smart LN2 level monitoring and automated filling ensure stability and accuracy with minimal intervention. Access is secure and done via fingerprint or NFC card; automatic event logging protects settings and creates a complete audit trail for compliance. IoT connectivity enables remote monitoring, instant alerts, and cloud-based data storage for complete visibility from anywhere.
Gary Brown, LN2 product specialist at Haier Biomedical, said, “CryoBio represents a real step forward in cryogenic storage. We developed it by listening to our biobank customers and understanding their priorities, including easier compliance, automatic traceability, and fully secure access. The result is a clean, enclosed design with intelligent control that protects every sample and gives labs complete confidence in their storage.”
