eschbach has introduced a dedicated Leader Standard Work capability in its Seqonis Intelligent Operations Platform, bringing leadership routine planning, execution, documentation, and evaluation into a single digital workflow.
For pharmaceutical manufacturers operating in highly regulated environments, Leader Standard Work ensures leadership activities are performed consistently and that improvement actions remain visible until completion.
Leadership activities such as coaching sessions, process confirmations and daily management meetings have traditionally been managed using spreadsheets, paper-based systems, and physical boards, making it harder to coordinate routines across teams and track what happens after an issue is identified.
This can create a gap between carrying out a leadership activity and following through on the findings it generates. Where observations are recorded separately from the wider improvement process, it can be hard to see if actions have been assigned, addressed, and closed.
Designed to support lean management principles, the Leader Standard Work capability digitises Kamishibai boards, coaching activities, process confirmations, and Gemba walks, creating a structured framework for managing these activities across teams and sites.
Within Seqonis, teams can set up routines by responsibility, frequency, and production area, then assign them to individual leaders. Leaders can access their scheduled activities on desktop and mobile devices and use associated T-Cards containing instructions, coaching questions and checklists when carrying out the activity. Leaders can record findings during coaching sessions and process confirmations, with ownership, due dates, and closure status tracked through the same system.
Leader Standard Work links routine activities to the actions and improvements they generate, helping leaders see how their work contributes to resolving operational issues.
As part of the Seqonis Intelligent Operations Platform, this capability supports more consistent execution across the plant, alongside Digital Daily Management and Visual Management. Reducing the administrative burden of managing routines gives leaders more time to focus on production issues while supporting clearer communication, collaboration, and more resilient processes.
