The treatment protects sample storage tubes through surface treatment.
Biotechnology company Azenta Life Sciences has introduced a range of Electron-Beam (E-Beam) treated externally threaded tubes to provide a sterile sample storage solution.
"Our expansion into E-Beam treated products reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and customer choice," said Azenta global product manager Alexis MacLeod.
"This addition enhances our flexibility to support a wide range of applications while maintaining the high sterility standards our customers expect."
E-Beam treatment decontaminates surfaces with precision, with the uniform dose distribution delivering consistent treatment across the surface of the sample storage tubes.
The chemical-free process eliminates the risk of residuals or environmental pollutants contaminated the samples.
The E-Beam treatment is validated to a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10⁻³, and is offered on FluidX 0.5ml, 0.9ml, 1ml, 1.9ml and 7.6ml sample storage tubes.
