Zeiss and Mindpeak partner to advance mIF pathology solutions

AI-based image analysis will offer deeper insights into pathological tissues

Technology manufacturer Zeiss has recently partnered with AI software company Mindpeak to develop a solution for pathologists across research, diagnostics and clinical applications.

“Together, we are introducing an integrated solution that streamlines mIF workflows and improves reproducibility to meet the evolving needs of both translational research and clinical settings,” said Zeiss’ head of research microscopy solutions Michael Albiez.

“By combining ZEISS' imaging expertise with Mindpeak's AI-driven analytics, we aim to enable researchers and clinicians to gain deeper insights with greater efficiency and precision.”

Zeiss’ instruments and software will complement Mindpeak’s AI-based image analysis of pathological tissues, expanding pathology solutions.

“Mindpeak’s established product portfolio of clinical AI algorithms, which currently supports pathologists in assessing immunohistochemistry (IHC), hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained slides, will be extended to mIF in this promising partnership,” said Mindpeak CEO Felix Faber.

“We are thrilled to combine our expertise in AI pathology with ZEISS’s instrumentation to create a streamlined workflow from slide to report for our customers.”

The integrated multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF) solution will address multiple areas, such as research and diagnostics.

Zeiss and Mindpeak recently made their first joint appearance at the December European Society for Spatial Biology (ESSB) Conference in Berlin.
