Xybion LIMS 10 launched

The laboratory information system helps to unify processes in many industries

Digital cloud solutions provider Xybion has launched a laboratory information management system (LIMS), allowing companies across industries to unify laboratory processes.

Xybion LIMS 10 is built on over 200 customer implementations and Xybion’s Autoscribe Informatics, a laboratory software provider. Earlier this year, Autoscribe’s LIMS reduced paperwork by 90% and was adopted by organisations such as CIA Laboratories.

“With combined AI-driven advanced analytics and decision support, Xybion LIMS 10 represents the pinnacle of our vision, offering unprecedented efficiency and usability to our customers,” said Jason Jones, the senior vice president and general manager of Xybion LIMS 10.

“We have engineered a robust and intuitive LIMS solution with the flexibility to meet the dynamic needs of modern laboratories.”

The system’s modern look and streamlined software architecture support smooth upgrades and navigation, minimising the need for manual intervention. This is supported by the system’s instrument calibration and maintenance abilities.

The Xybion quality management system (QMS) allows users to quickly digitise laboratory processes, accelerate tests, and study timelines and laboratory throughput.

Each step of laboratory workflow is supported by Xybion LIMS 10, with configurable solutions available for many industries, including life sciences, manufacturing, oil and gas, water testing, veterinary science, environmental, biobank management and stability studies.

One key feature of the system is that it efficiently manages information such as inventory, run sheets, personnel competencies, storage systems and QC sample instrument worklists. Defining, monitoring and recording this information, as well as storage systems and instrument worklists from QC samples keeps companies efficient and organised.

This level of management is supported by corrective and preventative action (CAPA) management tracks and resolves identified and reported issues as they arise.

The system provides a full record of all actions carried out on samples, as well as who has made any changes and when. This level of chain of custody and audit monitoring minimises the potential for error and provides a comprehensive picture of overall laboratory workflow.

The release of Xybion LIMS 10 marks a significant milestone in our journey towards creating smarter, more efficient laboratories around the world,” said Dr Pradip Banerjee, chairman and CEO of Xybion.

“Xybion LIMS 10 is more than a technological breakthrough; it's about making our clients' lives easier and their laboratories digitised for faster and more impactful outcomes. With state-of-the-art features and an intuitive design, Xybion LIMS 10 sets a new standard for laboratory operations.”

For complex workflows, the bioanalytical system provides additional statistical calculations and data processing functions.

The system’s XA new plate management solution allows for the management of 96 well plates and similar configurations, improving the tracking of plate-based experiments.

The Xybion LIMS 10.0 is in full compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 requirements and various global regulatory agencies including FDA, EMA, Eudra, and TGA.
