The mass spectrometer reduces reactivity, prolongs cleanliness and minimises downtime
Laboratory equipment supplier SepSolve Analytical has introduced upgrades to its BenchTOF2 time-of-flight mass spectrometer.
The Bench TOF2 simultaneously analyses all ions, maximising sensitivity and providing full-range spectra for both target compounds and unknowns in one run.
“These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to providing laboratories with advanced tools that combine precision, reliability, and usability, empowering users to confidently tackle complex analytical challenges,” said SepSolve product marketing manager Dr Laura McGregor.
The update included a redesigned ion source that enhances robustness and simplifies maintenance. This reduces reactivity, prolongs cleanliness and minimises downtime.
The Bench TOF2 can be installed and removed with no tools, making it easier to maintain.
The straight-through design simplifies column fitting, eliminates cold spots and leaks and can remain in place during ion source maintenance.
When combined with SepSolve’s Insight range of GCxGC modulators, the updated system expands its versatility, especially for petrochemical and complex analyses. The ChromSpace version 2.2 complements these hardware advancements.
