Woodley Laboratory Diagnostics announces that Clinispin Horizon 642E has become Clinispin Horizon 642VFD
Clinispin Horizon 642E has been remodelled to update the appearance of the centrifuge and has been renamed Clinispin Horizon 642VFD. The functionality of the 642VFD remains the same as the 642E, but this design is slightly smaller and lighter, offering greater portability.
The Clinispin Horizon 642VFD is a low-cost laboratory centrifuge with a swing-out rotor. The unique rotor and compact design minimises its footprint making it ideal for doctor’s offices and small labs.
The 642VFD is ideal for centrifuging blood samples immediately after collection to ensure the serum is separated from the plasma – this immediately prevents the sample from deteriorating. As the centrifuge has a simple start-stop function, a fixed speed and set time, it is ideal for any phlebotomist or user at any level.

- Electronic Timer – selectable from 1 to 30 minutes, preset to 10 minutes (+/- 1%)
- Small Footprint – takes up only 30cm2 of space
- Brushless DC Motor – for smooth and quiet operation with no routine maintenance

- End-Of-Run Audible Indicator – sounds when the rotor has stopped to inform of cycle completion
- Quiet Operation and Low Vibration – Double-encased motor and unique "stability mount" assure quiet performance and low out-of-balance vibration
- Automatic Lid Lock – centrifuge will not run with the lid open; lid canot be opened while samples are spinning
- Out-Of-Balance Detection – if an imbalance is detected the centrifuge will come to a safe controlled stop.
