OGT launches the SureSeq Myeloid MRD Plus NGS Panel

The panel can detect ultra-low frequency variants in key MRD-associated biomarkers in AML

OGT has launched its new next-generation sequencing (NGS) panel for Measurable Residual Disease (MRD), the SureSeq Myeloid MRD Plus NGS Panel. Designed to detect ultra-low frequency variants in key MRD-associated biomarkers in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), enabling users of the panel to obtain detailed genomic information, providing an earlier and more complete picture of their sample’s MRD status.

Accurate detection of MRD is an essential component in advancing clinical research and improving understanding of therapeutic strategies for AML. Evidence demonstrates that MRD-negative status is associated with improved long-term outcomes and can sensitively identify even a small number of residual leukemic cells at earlier time points. This capability allows clinicians and researchers to gain a more detailed view of disease status. 

With targeted coverage of 16 biomarkers associated with AML, including FLT3 and NPM1, the SureSeq Myeloid MRD Plus NGS Panel has been optimised for MRD characterisation. Users will be able to benefit from powerful detection and challenging mutations such as FLT3 internal tandem duplications (ITDs) surpassing 300 base pairs, ensuring they can acquire comprehensive genomic insights from their samples. As well as this, its focused design allows high-precision variant detection without increased sequencing costs commonly associated with broader panels and, by utilising SureSeq’s refined bait design strategy, the panel achieves greater sensitivity, finding variants at allele frequencies as low as 0.01%.

To complement the panel, OGT’s bioinformatics solution, Interpret, is included at no additional cost and provides longitudinal visualisation of MRD dynamics over time, including SNVs, indels, and ITDs. Available as a secure cloud-based platform or a local installation, Interpret offers a user-friendly, pre-configured analysis pipeline that simplifies laboratory workflows. 

Additionally, customisation options enables users to tailor their analysis to meet specific clinical research requirements. The panel and bioinformatics solution is supported by OGT’s team of experts, who assist with initial setup through to advanced troubleshooting.
