New Eppendorf Research 3 neo pipettes

The pipettes have been created to provide accurate and precise results for accelerated volume selection and optimised ergonomics

Eppendorf, an international life science company that develops, manufactures, and distributes instruments, consumables, and services for laboratories, has released the Eppendorf Research 3 neo pipette.

The Research 3 neo pipettes have been created to provide accurate and precise results for accelerated volume selection and optimised ergonomics. The pipettes are now available in EMEA and the Americas following their release throughout Asia in August 2025.

The pipette is flexible, allowing users to switch between two volume settings to speed up or fine-tune volume changes and features a new volume lock that prevents unintentional volume changes. Additional adjustable settings mean the pipette can accommodate different liquid types, tip geometries, reverse pipetting, and altitudes, ensuring optimal accuracy across multiple applications without requiring recalibration. Further increasing versatility, using ColorTag changeable pipette marking rings provides a reversible labelling solution.

The new mechanical air-cushion pipette is consistently beyond the ISO 8655 test limits when used with epT.I.P.S. pipette tips. The Research 3 neo features carefully designed ergonomics and customisable accessories, providing a well-balanced design with low tip attachment and ejection forces that ensure efficient use.

Reflecting Eppendorf's sustainability commitments, the pipettes are manufactured in an ISO 14001 certified facility, come in recycled and recyclable packs, and are compatible with BioBased pipette tips made from 100% biobased polypropylene following a mass-balance approach.

Christiane Markau, product innovation manager at Eppendorf SE, said: “We are extremely proud to introduce the latest generation of mechanical pipettes, the Research 3 neo. Our mission has been to create a pipette that is the perfect fit for all new users, in terms of its adaptability and accessories, as well as its comfort and performance. This addition to our comprehensive range of tools and instruments provides our customers with a flexible solution to meet all their pipetting requirements.”

Eppendorf’s CEO, Dr. Christine Munz, will present the Eppendorf Research 3 neo pipette during a virtual live launch on Thursday, 18 September, 10 am CEST. For more information and to register, visit: Research 3 neo Launch
