Sub-libraries now support material identification analysers for organic chemicals, narcotics and polymers
Chemical analysis instrument provider Metrohm has added an update to the Metrohm Comprehensive Raman Library (MCRL), which helps to identify unknown materials.
The MCRL library metadata includes a collection of compound characteristics, physical properties and safety information to instantly analyse materials.
With >27,700 substance, the MCRL has now included additional sub-libraries. This supports material identification analysers for organic chemicals, narcotics and polymers.
Sub-libraries provide faster, targeted identification for known samples.
All entries are collected at 785nm and 1,064nm to ensure high levels of matching accuracy. Accurate matching is also supported by an XTR fluorescence rejection algorithm used in data collection.
SERS spectra are also collected to increase the sensitivity of Raman for trace chemical identification.
