Higher maximum flow rates and pressure ranges are some of the changes this partnership could bring
Manufacturers Labomatic Instruments and Knauer Wissenschaftliche Geräte have entered a partnership, combining expertise and resources strengthen their liquid chromatography technology.
“The partnership with Labomatic enables us to expand our product portfolio and offer our customers even more comprehensive solutions in the preparative segment,” said Knauer managing director Carsten Losch. “The collaboration will improve both our market positions.”
By combining expertise, Labomatic will be able to offer analytical solutions, while Knauer will be able to offer higher maximum flow rates and pressure ranges.
Labomatic manufactures preparative and process HPLC systems and components. The expertise in preparative systems lies in the higher flow rate range of 0.28 to 2.0l per minute at pressures up to 600 bar. The process HPLC systems can deliver a flow rate of up to 9.0l per minute at pressures of up to 380 bar.
“This cooperation enables us to make our products accessible to a wider audience and strengthen our market presence,” said Labomatic CEO Claude Marchand. “We look forward to working with Knauer.”
Knauer manufactures laboratory instruments for research, routine analysis, quality assurance and other applications including analytical liquid chromatography systems for a flow rate range from 0.001 to 10ml/min at up to 862 bar pressure.
Knauer’s preparative HPLC systems can be used for continuous operation in a flow range from five to 200ml per minute up to 100 bar pressure and in non-permanent operation up to 400ml per minute.
