The platform for microbial polysaccharides production enhances yield and purity

Biotechnology company Creative Biogene has optimised its platform for microbial polysaccharides production.

The new technology precisely regulates metabolic pathways in microorganisms. The process increases production yields and cuts operational expenses, facilitating scalable manufacturing for pharmaceutical applications.

Higher yields and increased purity are achieved through the technology’s focus on strain optimisation and process intensification. Microbial polysaccharides are biopolymers produced by microorganisms such as bacteria, yeast and fungi, which are useful for pharmaceuticals.

Curdlan and Alginate, for example, function as heat-gelling agents and wound care solutions.
