Creative Biogene launches gamma-retroviral products

The products can efficiently deliver genes into a range of cell types.

Biotechnology company Creative Biogene has recently launched a line of gamma-retroviral products capable of efficiently delivering genes into various cell types.

Our gamma-retroviral products are designed to enhance gene delivery systems, allowing scientists to explore new avenues for gene therapy and regenerative medicine," said Creative Biogene marketing director Marcia Brady.

Gamma-retroviruses can transduce dividing cells, making them suitable for the delivery of therapeutic genes into target cells. This allows them to play an important role in studying gene expression and developing novel therapeutic strategies.

"Looking to the future, we envision gene therapy becoming the standard approach to treating genetic diseases," said Brady.

The products are derived from Moloney murine leukaemia virus (MoMLV) and murine stem cell virus (MSCV).

The company’s retroviral products can express fluorescent or bioluminescent reporters, which are useful for tracking gene expression and cellular processes in real time, both in vitro and in vivo. This is useful for understanding cellular mechanisms and the effectiveness of therapeutics interventions.

The gamma-retroviral products can transduce a variety of cell types, enabling experimental flexibility where researchers can tailor their protocols to specific requirements of their projects. This includes uses in developmental biology, cancer research or stem cell research.
