The SPR-200 monitors the output signal from liquid chromatography instrument detectors
A leading pharmaceutical company has purchased 17 SPR-200 solvent recycler units from Biotech Fluidics, a supplier of fluidic system solutions, liquid transfer components, degassing systems, and innovative laboratory technology to instrument developers, manufacturers, and distributors all around the world, to help advance the sustainable use of solvents in HPLC systems in its analytical laboratories.
The SPR-200 continuously monitors the output signal from liquid chromatography instrument detectors and is compatible with most HPLC systems. In customer labs, the SPR-200 can recover up to 90% of the mobile phase by redirecting the pure recovered solvent to a dedicated reservoir during isocratic HPLC.
The standalone SPR-200 solvent recycler is externally powered and does not require an external computer, helping to avoid potential connectivity issues with user IT systems.
Fritiof Ponten, CEO of Biotech Fluidics, said, “Controlled via an integral LED screen and membrane keyboard, the SPR-200’s user-friendly software allows you to configure operational parameters and to perform online monitoring and create an audit trail of recovered solvent.”
Ponten added, “Not only does the SPR-200 solvent recycler improve the sustainability of your lab, but it also quickly pays for itself by enabling you to recycle almost all the solvent used by your isocratic HPLC systems.”
