Biotech Fluidics launches QuickStart pressure sensor

The sensor is suitable for applications such as flow cytometry, DNA sequencing and protein detection.

Biotech Fluidics, a degassing and fluidics products manufacturer, has unveiled a digital in-line pressure sensor called QuickStart.

Able to be implemented into most instrument fluidic pathways, QuickStart is suitable for applications such as flow cytometry, DNA sequencing and protein detection.

QuickStart features a pressure range of 0.25 – 14bar abs and an operating temperature of +5º C to +50º C.

The technology’s fully isolated MEMS sensing element provides precise pressure monitoring and fluid control.

This adaptive pressure sensor reacts instantly to physical pressure changes of fluid transmitted through a gel-filled cavity and can be easily integrated into most systems, combining an isolated fluidic pathway, electronics and I2C communication.

In addition to managing flow rates, researchers can also receive instant data on system performance, reducing overpressure risks and saving analysis time.

Last month, Biotech Fluidics launched the HPLC pump validation kit, a flowmeter kit providing validation of the ongoing performance of any HPLC pump.
