The hardware can withstand high flow rates, pressures and temperatures
Laboratory product supplier Biotech Fluidics has recently introduced the new BioVersal column hardware for microbore ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) separations.
The hardware is able to withstand high flow rates, pressures and temperatures, providing hundreds of sample injections without losing its shape or lowering sample integrity.
With PEEK-lined, microbore stainless-steel columns, the BioVersal column hardware has a smooth, metal-free internal surface. This is useful for analytical UHPLC separations that use stationary phase particles sizes down to 2µm or fewer.
The columns measure 1mm in diameter, and the PEEK frits have 0.5µm porosity. They are equipped to handle continuous operation up to 25,000psi at up to 80°C.
The columns are packed at room temperature and can withstand pressures up to 40,000psi with their packing adapter.
The hardware comes in several column lengths common for UHPLC: 30mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm and 150mm.
