Bio-Rad launches line for PCR applications

Life science product company Bio-Rad Laboratories has launched the PTC Harmony Thermal Cycler line. The line is designed to offer broader access to optimised workflows for PCR applications such as sequencing, cloning and genotyping.

“Tailored to academic and biopharma customers interested in simplified and affordable, high-performance devices, the new line of PTC Harmony Thermal Cyclers delivers the same reliability and high quality that Bio-Rad has been providing for over 35 years,” said Bio-Rad VP of genomics product management Stephen Kulisch.

“Leveraging our engineering expertise, we continue to develop and manufacture robust and efficient thermal cyclers, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of all scientists.”

PTC Harmony 90 and PTC Harmony Deepwell are the newest additions offered by Bio-Rad. They provide the same thermal performance as the PTC Tempo line and feature streamlined designed with an intuitive user interface, manual lid operation and flexible connectivity options. As a result, scientists can achieve faster PCR runs, higher performance and increased accuracy.

In April, Bio-Rad extended its range of recombinant monoclonal anti-idiotypic antibodies and launched an anti-Fc mutation antibody range targeting drugs containing YTE mutations.
