Novasbio introduces cryogenic vials

The vials are made of medical-grade polypropylene and can withstand extremely low temperatures

Life science consumables provider Novasbio has introduced its cryogenic vials, from the company’s UK distributer Thistle Scientific.

The vials are designed for the storage of samples in freezers and other low-temperature cabinets. They are made of medical-grade, non-cytotxic polypropylene, which can withstand temperatures as low as -196°C.

The use of high-grade, USP class VI polypropylene minimises the stresses built up during storage.

The USP class VI Novasbio cryogenic vials encourage a sterile environment. They are fully autoclavable at 121°C and leak-proof with easy-opening caps and silicone washers.

A smooth internal surface allows for low nucleic acid and protein binding.

To minimise accidents and ensure easy handling, star feet keep the vials upright. Graduations with a large marking panel make it easier for users to achieve precise measurements.

Using inserts, the vials can be colour-coded to keep in line with organisational laboratory structures.

The cryogenic vials are FDA compliant and BSE/TSE, BPA, phthalate, Latex, and Heavy metal-free.
