Antimicrobial gloves by Unigloves and KluraLabs

Suitable for laboratories, the gloves use KluraLabs’ technology to eliminate bacteria in one minute

Hand protection specialist Unigloves and antimicrobial technology company KluraLabs have collaborated to launch the CrossGuard antimicrobial nitrile glove.

Using real science, we’ve developed CrossGuard to reduce the transmission of bacteria and viruses, making a real impact in infection control without compromising safety or fit," said KluraLabs CEO Blake Gudgel.

The glove can eliminate 99.90% of selected bacteria in 60 seconds using KluraLabs’ antimicrobial technology. The chemistry of standard nitrile gloves is optimised to create an effective antimicrobial surface.

The CrossGuard antimicrobial nitrile glove is especially useful in healthcare, laboratory and food processing environments where cross-contamination prevention and infection control is vital.

The antimicrobial technology is made from non-toxic, non-leaching materials, making disposal simple. They are touch screen-compatible and come in a variety of sizes.

"Hands are often a primary source of infection. By delivering 99.99% defence against bacteria in just 60 seconds, CrossGuard represents a significant advancement in infection control," said Unigloves managing director Chris Wahlers. "This innovation sets a new standard for protection in hospital, care, and food handling environments."
