Range of freezers offers improved sample security

The range of VIP Dual Cool -86ºC freezers by Panasonic provides maximum sample security for valuable research or clinical samples. A combination of Panasonic technologies, such as the dual-cooling refrigeration system and VIP PLUS vacuum insulation, ensure that all biological samples are maintained securely in their optimum environment. The VIP Dual Cool models, which include the large capacity, 728 litre MDF-U700VX, are ideal for storing valuable samples for highly regulated applications within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, stem cell research laboratories, tissue banks and blood transfusion centres. 

The VIP Dual Cool freezers are able to maintain a reliable and uniform -86ºC ultralow temperature environment through the use of two independent refrigeration systems. Should one cooling system suffer an unexpected failure, the other circuit will keep samples safely in the -70ºC range until service can be arranged. The design ensures the freezers are extremely safe - they not only protect precious samples, but also eliminate the inconvenience and expense of out-of-hours call-outs in the event of a failure. 

The central door-mounted LCD display panel provides straightforward programming of set points and clear confirmation of freezer status. An onboard data logging function allows the operator to easily check recent freezer performance. The energy-efficient units also offer an intelligent ECO Mode, optimising compressor operation to match the freezer running conditions and minimise energy use. 

The VIP PLUS high efficiency vacuum insulation enables the freezers to maximise capacity while saving valuable lab space. VIP PLUS provides typically 24% more storage space compared to a conventionally insulated freezer with the same footprint. Other user-friendly design features include comprehensive alarms and a vacuum release port for smooth door opening. Efficient long-term operation of the freezer is facilitated by the filter-less condenser design, eliminating the requirement for routine filter cleaning.
