Medical community to meet in Düsseldorf

Taking place 14 - 17 November 2016 in Düsseldorf, Medica is the world’s largest event for the medical sector. For more than 40 years it has been firmly established on every expert’s calendar.

Being a truly international event, of the 130,000 professional trade visitors from around 120 nations that attended last year’s event, more than half were from abroad, with a significantly large number being from overseas markets in the USA and Latin America, reinforced by visitors from Iran and the Arab countries. The number of decision-makers from the highest corporate echelons has again increased significantly.

In 2015, Compamed, an internationally leading specialist trade fair for suppliers of medical technology, took place for the first time parallel to Medica. Following the success of this strategy in 2015, the two shows will occur at the same time again in 2016.

In addition to the professional trade fair, the Medica Conferences and Forums have become an integral part of the event. These consist of: the Medica Education Conference (the largest interdisciplinary forum of Germany); the German Hospital Conference (the leading communication platform for decision-makers in German hospitals); the European Hospital Conference (EHC) taking place every second year; the Medica Medicine + Sports Conference; the Medica physio conference and the International Conference on Disaster and Military Medicine (DiMiMED).

Five forums and several specialised shows on varied medical-technological topics are concisely presented in the halls as an attractive complement to the trade fair.

The main product categories in the exhibition halls are:

1. Electromedicine/medical technology

2. Laboratory equipment

3. Diagnostics

4. Physiotherapy/orthopaedic technology

5. Commodities and consumer goods

6. Information and communication technology

Of particular interest to readers of EuroLab will be the range of laboratory equipment and diagnostics tool that make up the key topics in in Halls 1-3. Here, employees and decision-makers will get access to one of the worldwide largest markets for laboratory technology and diagnostics.
