Increase gas chromatography repeatability

OEMs can now give gas chromatography users the highest analysis repeatability and the lowest detection limits they demand, thanks to the new FAS 16mm FASPROP low flow proportional valve from Norgren.

With the smallest orifice – just 0.002 inches (0.05mm) – combined with the most compact design in the industry, FASPROP precisely controls low flow rates in the ml range  (up to 174 psi / 12 bar) enabling the use of most common carriers.

FASPROP’s accurate low flow prevents peak retention time shift in packed and capillary GC columns

FASPROP’s accurate low flow prevents peak retention time shift in packed and capillary GC columns caused by poor flow control. FASPROP can also be used to regulate flow and pressure supply to detectors improving stability and sensitivity.

A very low diffusion leak rate of permanent gases coupled with ultra-clean hardware components guarantees a stable and true low baseline for optimum Minimum Detectable Quantity.

Available in cartridge or flange mounting configurations, FASPROP fits into a small footprint and is easy to integrate and install. It also features the same flat plunger and flat spring as the well-established FAS FLATPROP valves, widely used in medical devices for dosing gases. These typically exceed 100 million cycles, showing a lifetime up to ten times longer than that of competing valves.
