Avantes expands their machine shop

22nd October 2013

Avantes, leading innovator in the field of spectroscopy,  is proud to announce the expansion of their machine shop. The machine shop is located in their headquarters in The Netherlands. This expansion will allow for faster prototyping, more special products and easier upgrades.

Creating a  custom  product for a customer is not something unknown to Avantes. Many of our OEM customers have specific needs. This ranges from a different setting in a spectrometer to a completely redesigned optical bench. Avantes fulfills these needs with innovative solutions, tailor-made to the required specifications. Avantes does this not only for spectrometers, but also for fiber-optic cables and accessories. The expanded machine shop will allow for even higher quality special products and new innovations.

Benno Oderkerk, founder and CEO of Avantes: "In spectroscopy, one size doesn't fit all. Many of our customers have very specific requests for their spectrometer, but just as much for their fiber-optic cables. We have a dedicated team of professionals working every day to create those customer-specific products."

Avantes is the world leader in the field of spectroscopy. They develop and manufacture spectrometers, light sources, software, fiber optic cables, and accessories. Avantes' products are highly customizable, adaptable to any specific application, and integrated into even the smallest housings. These products therefore find usage in many OEM applications and markets, as well as in the scientific and industrial world. With over 18 years of experience, Avantes continues to produce innovative applications in diverse fields including chemical, solar energy, agriculture, gemology, (bio)medical, semiconductor, light measurement and food processing technology.
