Electronic micropipette is simpler and safer

Socorex's new microprocessor-controlled instrument aims to make electronic pipetting simpler and safer than ever.

The company says that the intuitive control software and few buttons on keyboard allow quick access to forward, reverse, step-wise and dilution modes.

Mixing is by one single key activation.

The light diode display (LED) information is also reversible for right or left side reading.

Best efficiency in tip ejection is obtained with a large surface button, says Socorex.

Adding to de-tipping comfort, the shaft height adjustment system Justip allows a wide selection of tips to tightly fit on the nozzle.

A long life NiMH battery pack is located in the pipette handle. Charged either with the pipette or separately, the battery is replaced within seconds to avoid any pipetting interruption.

Four micro-models cover volumes from 0.5 to 1000 µL. Two macropipettes extend the range to 10 mL.

The company says that six instruments with 8- and 12-channel (0.5 to 350 µL) guarantee, says the company, optimal sample transfer in microplates.

Autoclavable at 121°C, each volumetric module (lower assembly) is interchangeable on one control unit (upper assembly).

Instrument calibration is easily performed on the keyboard.

Each Acura electro conforms to CE safety guidelines, to EN ISO 8655/DIN 12650 and other international standard requirements.
