Manufacture of high purity inorganic compounds

High purity inorganic salts are used in many different production units and institutions such as aerospace, electronics, in the pharmaceutical, chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as in the automobile and optical industries, to give some examples.

As these inorganic salts are the basic building blocks, it is essential during the production process, to consider the importance of customer specific requirements on impurity levels.

It is imperative that each step of production process is carefully documented and strict quality controls are employed throughout the manufacture process, while each lot will require a batch specific, certificate of analysis.

By employing proprietary and proven processes to ensure the quality and purity of these inorganic compounds it has enabled many compounds to have purities typically in the range 99.99 per cent to 99.999 per cent, while many exceed this.

Alfa Aesar produces thousands of separate high purity inorganics including a variety of ammonium salts, bromides, carbonates, chlorides, iodides, nitrates, oxides, sulphates and sulphites of more than 30 metals.
