Laning system aids easier product packaging

Food conveyor manufacturer Cox and Plant Products has launched a new conveyor enabling separation of products for easier presentation and packaging.

The vibratory Lanerveyor, suitable for food such as cereal and chocolate bars, bread rolls, fish fingers and sliced vegetables, is a totally hygienic system made from stainless steel and requires minimum maintenance.

The Lanerveyor is supplied with custom designed alignment sections to suit the product and application. Aligning sections can also be supplied with varying designs for quick product changeover using Cox and Plant's Quick Release Clamps.

Commercial director Andy Cox says: "We worked very closely with food manufacturers to develop the Lanerveyor, in particular the UK's largest processor of seafood. This has resulted in 15 similar systems being installed across Europe.

"The conveyor was originally designed as a bespoke laning machine to align fish fingers so they could be directly fed into boxes. We are now seeing an increase in the need for correct handling and effortless arrangement of products to ensure aA' grade products are produced.“
