Is your PCR contaminated?

Labcaire Systems has recently introduced a new model to complete their line-up of laminar-flow Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) preparation cabinets, which assist operators in producing contamination-free PCR samples.

The PCR8 has all the attributes of its predecessor, the PCR6, such as automatically timed UV light for sterilising the work area, pipettes and flasks etc., removable stainless steel worksurface and better than class 100 clean air, however the primary feature of the latest addition is that of operator protection toBS EN12469:2000.

Borrowing the technology utilised in Labcaire's Class II microbiological safety cabinets, and using it to provide the same levels of operator protection, enables Labcaire to offer the PCR8 without the expense of installing a full Class II unit.

Both PCR cabinets are extremelyeasy to install, ultra quiet in operation and compact in design and take up no more room than that usually used forPCR work making them a perfectaddition to any site carrying outPCR work.
