Evaluating performance

Everyday more and more industries, be they manufacturing, process, utilities and service are required to conform to more and more rules and regulations:

For example the Climate Control Levy to promote efficient energy usage, to 21CFR part 11 for all companies working in the Pharmaceutical industries to promote consistent, repeatable and demonstrable levels of product production, to HTM2010/30 for clinical sterilisers and washer dryers operation, to ensure acceptable levels of hygiene.

Such requirements come on top of the on-going expectations of each and every company to produce more and more products, at lower and lower costs, using less and less resource.

To satisfy any and each of these requirements normally demands improved control of any processes used within the manufacturing or processing operation.

Any improvement or gain in the control can only be evaluated if the before and after conditions can be monitored and recorded. Indeed it is often a requirement to continue any process or parameter monitoring to confirm on-going conformance to the target standard or regulation.

With an informed choice of process control and monitoring equipment these demands do not have to present an insurmountable barrier to the user. u
