Piped laboratory gas systems

In a world that is increasingly health and safety conscious, it is still common practice to awheel' portable gas cylinders to the individual workstation.

With gas cylinders of 300-bar pressure and outlets up to 40-bar pressure the hazards are too numerous to mention in today's crowded work place. Not even taking into account the time wasted in carrying cylinders up and down stairs.

Hence the need for a fully piped laboratory gas system from an external position to the laboratory bench or workstation. This eliminates a number of safety hazards in one fell swoop.

If also gives, when the cylinders are coupled together by means of an Autochange manifold, an uninterrupted supply of a number of inert and flammable gases, with the need for changing of cylinders to be done in less than half the normal time, as a minimum. Coupled with a suitable Alarm system there is also no need to continuously check cylinders for content. The alarm system will tell the end-user when cylinders have changed to their reserve bank and if there are any low-pressure situations.

With installations carried out to hospital standards purity of the end product is ensured. u
