Contact-free in-line measurements

The Armor measuring head features automatic referencing and permits contact-free in-line measurements on conveyor belts and manufacturing lines. It is suitable for process control and production monitoring in a wide variety of applications.

Thanks to the automatic referencing equipment, users receive reliable measuring results without having to stop the conveyor belt or manufacturing line.

The special measuring geometry permits precise results even if there is a large distance between the sample material and the measuring head and the mound height of the sample material is uneven.

The process-orientated design of the Armor measuring head, its sturdiness and exceptional environmental resistance help to ensure precise results even in the roughest and toughest conditions. Furthermore, the system permits highly stable measurements over a wide spectral range (between 950 and 2200nm) in milliseconds.

The Armor measuring head comprises a 50W halogen reflector lamp. An optical system installed in the quasi-parallel beam ensures 0° illumination of the sample perpendicular to the sample. Sample observation is made at an angle of 10°. The size of the produced measuring spot is approximately 30 millimetres. The distance between the measuring head and the sample material is approximately 180 millimetres.
