First European Food Congress

Delegate places are still available for the First European Food Congress in Ljubljana, Slovenia, 4-9 November 2008.

This major European congress on all aspects of the food system will bring together food and nutrition professionals from academia and industry throughout Europe for a stimulating five-day programme to review, exchange and disseminate knowledge and experience in current food science, technology, policy and nutrition.

The full programme is now available to download and includes inspirational plenary lectures from renowned European speakers plus more than 250 oral presentations arranged within 25 symposia together with a number of workshops, round tables and a large poster session themed around the conference topics.

Programme highlights include the results of EU projects; new developments in toxicity assessment; the beneficial use of and the battle against microorganisms; hygienic design of food factories; harmonisation of food analysis and food safety regulations; the application of nanotechnology in food; allergenicity and much, much more.

The First European Food Congress is organized by EFFoST - the European Federation of Food Science and Technology and is supported by the following international organizations: BEUC, Copa-Cogeca, EHEDG, ETP Food for Life, EuCheMS-FCD, EUFIC, UN FAO, FEMS, FENS, FISEC, IUFoST, IUNS, WHO.
