Tip adapters boost productivity

Scientists seeking to automate their high throughput applications are often faced with a decision for throughput versus cost of the system: a 384-probe pipetting device is needed to ensure the system is capable of performing the required number of assays; however preparation steps require pipetting of 96 samples at a time.

With Hamilton’s new four-fold tip adapters for the CO-RE 384 head, users do not have to settle for expensive dual arm and dual head systems if usage of a 96 probe device is needed. By combining four-channels of the CO-RE 384 head, users get an economic and innovative 96 probe alternative that still features the important process safety features: Liquid Level Detection and forceless Tip attachment and disposal.

These new four-fold tip adapter tips can be used on any CO-RE 384 pipetting head that can be combined with up to 16 independent pipetting channels, a nanopipetting head, plate and tube grippers and a camera that allows colony picking on the liquid handling workstation.
