Diode array spectrometer

Carl Zeiss has developed the MCS600 and the Corona systems for measurements in the UV/visible and NIR spectral range. The MCS600 is especially suitable for measurements in the UV range, versatile tasks and a very high degree of flexibility can be fulfilled.

Corona systems will be used preferably where portable systems are needed, where 12V power supply is required, and a maximum of sensitivity is necessary. In addition to the standard systems, Carl Zeiss provides also customised measuring systems for:

  • Meat analyser/Spice analyser – can analyse meat and sausages at-line in only 15 seconds. This instrument can also be used as a spice analyser, it allows the inspection of delivered spices and mixtures. The meat analyser allows product and batch inspection by comparisons via the absorption curve, quantitative information about some ingredients via appropriate calibrations such as, eg, per centatge water, percentage fat, percentage protein, per centage collagenic connective tissue (‘BEFFE’) and colour measurement (eg, for spices).
  • Malt and green malt analyser – can precisely analyse several parameters in malt, green malt and grain in less than 10 seconds during the measurement. Typical parameters include water, extract, protein, soluble nitrogen, VZ45 and viscosity. On request: boiling colour, pH value and ß-Glucan.
