Validated cytokines for organoid culture from Amsbio

Amsbio has launched a range of over 30 organoid culture-related cytokines for researchers working with stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). 

The new range of independently developed and manufactured cytokines is tailored for and validated in organoid culture to ensure high compatibility, leading to more controlled and reproducible research.

In a rising number of research areas, organoids have become a significant cell culture tool, applied in development and disease modelling, precision medicine, toxicology studies, and regenerative medicine.

The cytokines available for organoid culture include Activin A, BMP-4, EGF, FGF-4, FGF-10, FGFb, FGF8b, HGF, IGF1, Noggin, R-Spondin 1, Shh, and Wnt3a.

These cytokines all feature endotoxin levels of <0.01EU/μg and are characterised by high activity, high purity, and high lot-to-lot consistency.

These products have been designed to be easy to use following straightforward protocols so that they can be supplied as ready-to-use formulations. 

Each cytokine for the organoid culture kit is effective at preserving the structural and genetic characteristics of normal mammalian tissues, retaining the heterogeneity of the original tissue. Organoids can routinely be successfully cultivated within four to seven days when using these products.

Every cytokine supplied by Amsbio has been validated in in vitro models, including human tumour organoids such as pituitary adenoma organoids and breast cancer organoids, and human normal organoids, including iPSC-derived intestinal organoids, as well as mouse normal organoids, such as intestinal and pancreas organoids.
