CN Bio and Pharmaron partner to develop drug tech

The companies will combine technologies to advance drug discovery

CN Bio, organ-on-a-chip (OOC) systems specialist, and life sciences provider Pharmaron have partnered to advance drug discovery and development.

“By working closely together and leveraging the expertise of each company, we can share resources that enable us to progress new, innovative solutions from concept to global market deployment more effectively,” said CN Bio CEO Dr Paul Brooks.

Under the partnership, Pharmaron will validate CN Bio’s PhysioMimix technology across applications such as disease modelling, toxicity testing and absorption, distribution metabolism and excretion (ADME) studies.

Pharmaron will also integrate OOC technologies into its research and development platform and co-develop applications to expand OOC capabilities.

The partnership is designed to explore the development of new applications to address unmet needs in drug discovery and development.

“We are committed to continuous innovation that enhances the quality of our services and accelerates drug discovery and development,” said Pharmaron CSO Dr Hua Yang. “Organ-on-a-chip technology holds significant potential to advance translational science by improving our understanding of drugability at the preclinical stage.”
