Sapio LIMS and Waters Corporation’s spectrometry software combined

The combination will optimise workflows, reduce data silos, and eliminate manual data entry and transcription errors

Technology company Sapio Sciences has partnered with analytical instrument provider Waters Corporation to enhance its laboratory information management system (LIMS) software.

The collaboration has combined liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC_MS) software Waters_Connect with a LIMS to maximise its efficiency.

Sapio LIMS is a laboratory information management system providing unified no-code/low-code solution that streamlines laboratory workflows.

This combination will allow laboratories to handle larger volumes of samples more quickly and precisely. It will also optimise workflows, reduce data silos, and eliminate manual data entry and transcription errors.

Automation will also occur in processes such as file monitoring for instrument data as a result of the secure connection between Sapio LIMS and a secure file system.

The interface allows for unidirectional or bidirectional flow of information. Unidirectional information flow sends results from Waters_Connect system monitoring software for quantitation to Sapio LIMS.

Bidirectional information flow imports Sapio LIMS-generated sample batches into Waters_Connect for quantitation for analysis of the samples before the results are sent back to Sapio LIMS.
