Newport, a leader in photonic solutions, expands its range of innovative solutions for optical assemblies with the A-Line series of self-aligning lens mounts. The A-Line mounts make the mounting, aligning and focusing of lens groups fast and easy without causing any additional cost.
Each A-Line lens mount features a 6mm alignment hole that is designed to be used with Newport’s GR series guide rods. These rods are commonly used with Newport’s recently introduced OpticsCage+ system. Using this technique, several A-Line lens holders can be mounted together in a row self-aligned.
The A-line mounts provide another cost efficient and easy-to-use solution for building optical assemblies for experiments, prototyping and small batch production. The mounts have a thin-edge design, threaded post mounting, and can be clamped to the 6mm guide rod with a 2mm hex wrench for added stability.
All A-Line lens mounts are equipped with standard lens tube threading for optic mounting. The mounts hold standard spherical lenses in sizes from Ø 0.5 in. thru Ø 3.0 in. as well as thin Ø 1 in. and Ø 30 mm lenses. A large selection of complementing adaptors for mounting microscope objectives, C-mount camera lenses and 1 in. mirrors is also available.
