Hamamatsu Photonics has unveiled a new sealed type MFX that combines the advantages of a high accuracy 'open type' MFX and the easy maintenance of a 'sealed type' MFX. The L12531 has a compact, lightweight design and low power consumption.
Using a 'transmission target', this new sealed type MFX achieves a high resolution of 2 micrometres at 2W, high magnification and a wide radiation angle of 120 degress. It is ideally suited to X-ray non-destructive inspection of a wide range of objects including printed circuit boards, electronic components and more.
X-ray inspection is a technique that provides information about the internal structure of objects such as semiconductor devices, which are not visible externally. The accuracy of this technique depends on the microfocus X-ray Source used to generate X-rays.
