The multi-award winning DURAN YOUTILITY bottle system represents a new generation of glass laboratory bottles for use in a wide range of scientific research applications. Each YOUTILITY bottle has many features that improve its handling and utilisation.
The specially shaped gripping zones on both sides of the bottle permit easier and safer handling. With the new glass thread, the opening or closing of the bottle is much faster. The slimmer bottle shape allows a more optimal use of limited space in autoclaves and laboratory refrigerators. The bottles can be conveniently stacked horizontally on their sides. A pre-defined labelling area is compatible with the dedicated self-adhesive YOUTILITY bottle labels. The colourful GL 45 Bottle Tags offer an elegant solution to the marking of laboratory bottles. They can be easily and securely attached around the neck of the bottle, even with the screw cap in place.
A range of sequentially sized bottles is available in the four popular volumes of 125, 250, 500 and 1,000 ml. The glass bottles are moulded from the tried and tested DURAN borosilicate 3.3, a pharmacopoeial Type 1 neutral glass. DURAN glass offers a very good chemical resistance and high temperature resistance. Bottles are available in both clear and amber coloured glass. The amber colour meets the requirements of the USP < 660 > and Ph. Eur. for UV light protection. The entire YOUTILITY bottle range has an integrated Retrace Code to allow product traceability via a downloadable certificate of conformance.
DURAN YOUTILITY was recently awarded with a silver IDEA in the 2014 competition organised by the Industrial Designers Society of America for its user-friendliness. This is the third product design award the bottle has won, in addition to the Red Dot and iF awards.
